Working out with Anthony Joshua at sunrise
Here at Clockwise, we thrive on a tight deadline - even if that means shooting in the morning and turning around an edit by the afternoon!
Last week we were up at the crack of dawn to meet Anthony Joshua for a morning workout, marking the launch of a partnership between Lucozade Sport and Our Parks UK which will see free fitness classes held in more than 30 locations as part of the Made to Move campaign.
The launch took place a few days after Anthony announced he’ll be fighting New Zealand’s Joseph Parker on 31 March in a bid to get his hands on another championship belt - adding to the three he already holds and putting him on track to secure all five this summer. That meant a fast turnaround was needed to make the most of this PR opportunity.
The shoot took place in Stratford’s Queen Elizabeth Park, where Anthony’s success story began back at the London 2012 Olympics. As the sun came up we filmed an interview with Anthony, then used a pair of Sony FS5s and gimbals to capture his interactions with the public. After that it was a race back to the studio to deliver an edit by mid-afternoon.
After spending a few hours with Anthony it became clear that his down-to-earth public image and reputation as a people’s champion is deeply deserved. Thanks to CSM for getting us on board and all the best to Anthony Joshua for his fights in 2018.
