On a rather overcast and chilly winter day, the intrepid Clockwise team headed out from Bristol to the shores of South Wales to test the Sony FS700 with our new Canon 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L ISM lens.
As every surfer across the globe will know, living in a city comes with it's consequences - often missing the swell and the minimal daylight hours to meet deadlines, watching your mates score back home while you're sat at a computer desk and, in my case, clicking away on a mouse in the edit suite far away from the ocean. As a film maker, my job allows me to lose myself in my imagination, and this is what inspired the film.
I’m a little hesitant about sharing what can only be described as a ‘life hack’ but it turns out you can get incredibly cheap flights from London to the Canaries during the first week in January. It’s usually a quiet time of year for the film industry, as people are slowly getting to grips with the new year and not quite ready to start working, so we decided to escape the cold British winter weather and take the team on a surf trip to Fuerteventura.
