The latest in our work with electronic music site Resident Advisor is the launch of a new web series in association with Sonos. Origins focuses on the origins of three music producers, starting with techno titan Chris Liebing.
Last week, we headed to Holborn Studios to shoot a L'Oréal Academy training video and photoshoot. We shot 11 models with 11 different looks over five days with Steve Rowbottom and Leanne Brown from Westrow. We were shooting on Canon C300, Sony FS700 and Canon DSLR cameras for the Steadicam rig. Here's a little behind the scenes montage we shot in between the main shoots.
Converse have been running a multi-functioning facility in South London cultivating the skills of musicians, artists and skateboarders. As part of the project, a number of DJs and producers have been invited to take part in a series of mentoring sessions with established artists in the Mix Lab. This film shows up and coming grime producer and 'The Square' crew member, Lolingo, as he fine tunes his production skills with Scratcha DVA and DJ Q, and eventually presses his first dub plate to vinyl.
We have been collaborating with Resident Advisor for a while on various film projects. One of their latest ideas was the now established series RA Sessions, where they invite an artist to come and do a live performance in their trendy Haggerston office.
Its always interesting to see what each artist brings to the session. Each time we wait until sunlight has passed and we use the streetlights as a backdrop for the film. We like to create strong backlighting in order for us to get as many lense flares as possible, which gives the series a distinctive style.

Its been a busy summer down at the Resident Advisor film department with multiple filming projects happening at any one time. On one particularly busy weekend, Clockwise media were on hand to step in and direct this Sessions shoot with the extraordinarily talented Nils Frahm.
‘One of the exciting things about working in this industry is you never quite know what is around the corner, you get to attend events and experience situations that otherwise you would never get to do. This job was definitely one of those moments.’ Sim Higginson
When Lewis Hamilton stormed to victory in the Russian grand-prix last weekend he wrapped up the Constructor’s Championship for the Mercedes team. On Monday morning he arrived at the team’s factory alongside Nico Rosberg in Northamptonshire to celebrate and thank the team that work tirelessly to create the world best F1 car....
When we teamed up with RA and started the ‘Between the Beats’ series a few years ago, we weren’t sure exactly what to expect. There are many tour videos out there and each artist has a different story but the subjects chosen by the RA editorial team have led us on some crazy journeys, and none more crazy (or exhausting) than a weekend with Seth Troxler.
Clockwise Media may have been born filming club nights and music acts around Bristol but back in the day, it was all about skateboarding. We were stoked to get the chance to use our professional skills to make an old school skate jam video edit at the old Bishopswprth swimming pool in Bristol. The guys behind Campus skatepark have raised money and are about to turn this derelict building into a brand new indoor skate par so we went to tear it up before they tear it down!
Seventeen years ago we were all about the fisheye but these...
We’ve been working with Colston Hall in Bristol for the last year, making content for the marketing team. Recently we have been producing the videos for the huge Transformation project in order to help them raise £45 million in funding to modernise the venue.
On February 10th, some of the Clockwise Bristol team, along with a team from Colston Hall, headed up to the Houses of Parliament to meet with MPs, talk about the project and listen to a performances from Mercury Prize-nominated singer-songwriter Seth Lakeman.
