Fix Up 2017: The results are in!

Does the world need a skateboarding competition where you are encouraged to dress up like an idiot and throw yourself down stairs? Maybe not, but Clockwise director Dan Higginson hosts it every year nonetheless…

This year’s Fix Up contest was as random and unpredictable as ever. The format was simple: teams of four skateboarders were given three days to film and edit a two-minute skate video. The films were then premiered at the Campus Pool skatepark where teams voted for their favourite film to decide the winner.

The purpose of the competition is to encourage people to think about different ways of presenting skateboarding through the medium of film - but it's also nice to get everyone in one place enjoying each other’s work along with a couple of beers!

A £2,000 prize pot and a load of skate products were on offer to the winners of categories including best film, best trick, best fancy dress.

The quality of this year’s entries was the highest yet. Team Two Gully took first place with this piss-take of an edit!
